The Orchid Set is experimental music, funky beats, live acoustic and electronic instruments. Mysterious and seductive, their songs wash over the listener with an elegance that reflects the synergistic outpouring of skilled musicians. The sounds were haunting and ancient…an apropos musical set to host a gong bath.
Friend, tabla teacher, and drummer of The Orchid Set, Dave Miller had experienced a private sound healing session a few months prior. We were delighted when he requested a gong bath to enhance the vibrations of the stage and its players. Such a unique and incredible experience it was. Marshall’s sound touch guided the gongs to levels not yet explored. Beginning as tremors, the gongs sang out and bounced back in crashing waves. It was intense and magical.
